Amul Company Profile
You might already know that Amul’s story started in 1946 with the formation of Kaira District Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union (KDCMPUL) in Anand, which was led by Tribhuvandas K. Patel. The very first objective was one, you know, to support farmers in getting good prices and entering into better markets. This successful move was later known worldwide as the Anand model of cooperatives. And then, sure enough, later down the line, Gujarat’s milk unions had GCMMF as their main marketing body, set up in 1973, which brought distribution, procurement, and brand strategy under one roof. By the way, right now, Amul’s main head office is down there in Anand, Gujarat.
Current Status
On the money side, GCMMF has recorded a turnover of ₹59,545 crore in FY2024, and its revenue has gone up to ₹65,911 crore in FY2025. The overall Amul brand revenue was close to ₹90,000 crore in FY2025 alone, which is super impressive in itself.
Recent Updates & Future Outlook
